After setting the environment variable, you can run the setup, and when the pop-up dialog appears, you can try to run the same command line I listed earlier to run devenv.exe If that gives the same error, you may need to right-click on the sub-key, choose Permissions… and grant your user account full control over that sub-key so that you can successfully
