No special weather, so no external reason for the HW to fail. ITunes did the same thing to me, although it only happened when importing video files. If I reboot, I get the same loop. I do have an external hard drive I'm doing full disk image backups too using Vista Ultimate complete backup. In here the drives show the reported error as well. here's what it reads while booting up:Under RAID 0 (two drives), one of the drives is under port 0 and the other is under port 1. Backup your files that you can and install the OS to a single drive once that's sorted. The OS was on that single partition 4 TByte HDD RAID 10!

That can easily be fixed by running chkdsk, which is the first thing you should have done.
I've had to on 3 occasions reset my drive to non-Raid then rebuild my raid then use Acronis to restore my partition. A monthy after I purchased the system, Gateway's higher end systems division was purchased by Micron, and then about a year later Micron declared bankruptcy.The only reason I mention that is Anyway: I installed the Intel Matrix Storage Manager which IS compatible with my hardware (even though my hardware was very old - from 2004). Now the only other annoying thing is that at start up it requests me to select "CTRL - I" to configure raid.
If you have the motherboard manual (you can usually find one online at the manufacturer's website) you can determine which sockets are for which controller. Discuss "Error Occurred(0)" with RAID 0. Right-click on each drive and select the popup menu option "Mark as Normal". Restarting the System no OS was found and the RAID system reported 3 of the 4 HDDs to have failed at the same time!
