Intel Rapid Storage Technology Raid Error Occurred (0)

Only run a check disk only if the raid been checked for problems and is working 100% other wise further issue's can happen. Hopefully I won't duplicate your issue on my system! Once I got the system running on the new drive, I installed the old drives as seperate drives, and lo and behold, one of the drives started reporting a SMART error.! First, I backed up my data again like you said.

  1. Then I did a chkdsk on my RAID array and everything is fine.
  2. Only setup your raid when you 100% it's stable.

  4. I can't find anything about it.
  5. unmount the RAID first and check every disk on it's own to make sure that disk WD-WMAP41167463 didn't psysically fail...
  6. Just wanted to add that another user is having this problem.
  7. It happened to me during my Overclocking process, frequently BSOD can cause the hard drisk data to corrupted, made a false alarm that your hard drive is broken.

Why don't we have helicopter airlines? If so then tomorrow I will reinstall my RAID drivers and do a fresh install of my OS and see how things go. After that i have reinstalled Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) and fixed the error. If your getting the error on both disks in the RAID and not able to boot the OS then I would say we have different problems.

Conflict0s says thanks. However thanks to the tips above I dont have to go through the laborious task of rebuilding the raid and reformatting like last time!Someone needs to sort it out whether it they most likely just updated/replaced some of the firmware so that it is able to react to the quicktime videos more smoothly. Since it's a RAID0 config, your drives will look like gibberish to the OS if you turn off RAID.

Thanks! i'd back up everything first and then do what you will. Have you run Western Digitals Data Lifeguard tools on your Raptors yet? Especially since you can get into the OS and I can not.

They may be 2 different problems (symptoms?). Then just look at which one the cables are plugged into. Maybe we can spot some problem. I noticed this was obviously not right, yet my system booted and was fine for "normal" activities (I put my system at its default clocks).

But it obviously is because I can't game at the moment.
