March 1, 2010 at 4:14 pm | Permalink Patrick: Yeah, that's the right solution March 24, 2010 at 11:08 am | Permalink Amit: Your solution works!!! Resolution 1. I still get Error 2738. http://colvertgroup.com/internal-error/internal-error-2738-when-installing-cisco-vpn-client.php I have reg32 vbscript.dll and jscript.dll and it says they did it properly but then I try and install the program and it continues to bring up the Error 2738 message.

Following those instructions worked, copied here for completeness. The proposed solution (elsewhere) about registering vbscript.dll does not work for me. Uninstall and reinstall Go to Control Panel and select Programs and Features Select Partners Cisco Systems VPN Client and select uninstall Restart the computer Then reinstall the Cisco VPN Client again.

You will receive a message that says, "DLLRegisterServer in C:\Windows\System32\vbscript.dll succeeded." Click OK.

The install worked like a charm after this command.Note: I didn't have to 'Run As Administrator' since I was running with UAC already disabled.Thanks. 9 August 2008 at 02:44 atoultaro said... Type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll", then press "Enter". It works February 10, 2011 at 5:02 am | Permalink Bill: A quick comment for all those using the registry to remove the dll settings, try this instead; regsvr32 -u vbscript.dll Once there download the winfix.exe and dneupdate.msi for 32 bit or 64 bit depending on your system.

Now my VPN client no longer works. What should I do now? You are the man. It works now like a charm... The interesting part is that it's not a x64 related problem. @axfelix: I'm using an Intel Core2Duo 7300 processor which doesn't provide the VT command required for VirtualPC. Worked like a charm. 24 March 2009 at 17:05 Anonymous said... Thanks!
