I've noticed that IE seems to have trouble with a lot of code that Firefox tends to just take for granted. I was simply updating the innerHTML of a SPAN within a surrounding DIV. That's the problem. I was simply updating the innerHTML of a SPAN within a surrounding DIV. You should set an ID or a class on the sections you want to re-load and leave the social div untouched.
