Case closed I guess. I also encountered the same issue when things worked for me in Chrome, Firefox and Safari and I was unable to get through in IE8. At first the name of the input field was the same as the id of the div tag. Lastly, to help explain a little better, the reason that placing a div around the tag was because a div supports displaying HTML, where as most likely the object outside Innerhtml Not Working In Ie Html is inserting but css is not working on html after inserting.
